CLISSOLD PARK.

Barton House, Albion Road,

Stoke Newington, N.

March 27th, 1889.

To the Editor of the North London Guardian.

SIR,

The time has now arrived when I think I ought to give an account of my Stewardship as concerns Clissold Park.

I have received donations towards Preliminary expenses amounting to £85 5s., and have made one call on the Guarantors which realised £355 1 1s., I have returned £269 3s. 3d, to the latter. The balance £171 12s. 9d. I have expended in carrying out the object we have had in view, — I s been spent during a period of four years in holding Public Meetings, getting up three Monster Petitions, each signed by more than 12,000 inhabitants, Printing Circulars, &c. Postages, Advertisements and Legal expenses not immediately connected with the Bill itself.

Hoping that my action in this matter will meet with your approval and congratulating you on the success of our efforts.

Believe me,

Yours sincerely,

JOSEPH BECK.
